Greg Sanders
ElderI grew up in a sod house on a farm near Dalton, NE. After high school, I attended National College of Business in Rapid City where I met my wife, Tonya, while she was attending nursing school. We were married in 1984We have 3 married children. Tyler and his wife, Jamie, live in Sidney, where he works for the NRD and Jamie is student teaching at St. Agnes. Alyssa and her husband, Andrew, live in Rapid City, where she is just about done with nursing school. Andrew currently works for Harvey’s Lock Shop. He is the son of Tom Walker, formerly pastor of North Platte Berean Church. They have plans of attending language school and then maybe entering the mission field, Lord willing. Katie and her husband, Brad, also live in Rapid City where she is taking accounting classes at Black Hills State. Brad works for the TSA at the airport. Both of my daughters attended and graduated from Sunshine Bible Academy in Miller, SD.When I was in the 8th grade, I went to a Lowell Lundstrom Crusade in Bridgeport where I accepted Christ as my Saviour. Through high school I was a “good kid,” but when I went to college, I made some poor decisions like many kids. Not long after we were married, I met a man at church and we quickly became friends. One day he asked if I would be interested in studying the bible. I knew that I needed more direction in my life so I agreed. Together we worked through some Navigators discipleship materials, and I developed a desire to spend time in God’s Word and make some major changes in my life.In 1990, we moved to Alliance and began attending the Alliance Berean Church. Through the years I have continued to grow in my faith and look forward to what the future may bring. My hobbies are hunting and fishing. My ministry passions are discipleship, men’s ministry, and marriage ministry.
