Philip Hawkins

Worship Pastor

Philip Hawkins has served at ABC since January of 2014. Philip and Leah were married in May of 2017, and Oscar made three in November of 2020. This little family does a lot of traveling to see family in their native states of CO and IN, but they are always glad to be home in NE with their church family. Philip grew up in the worship ministry, and despite several years of prodigal living during and after high school, God has graciously given him the opportunity to continue in his father’s footsteps (except with a guitar). He believes worship should reflect the story of the Gospel. The worship team strives to engage in transformation worship (Romans 12:1-2).

Philip is also our discipleship pastor and leads our discipleship team. They believe small groups have proven to be a great place for discipleship to happen and where people can learn to minister to one another (Ephesians 4:11-16).
