Justin Schefcik

I was raised on a farm north of Alliance and grew up in a traditional church. However, I would say that I really didn't understand the gospel of God's grace until after high school through the people and ministry of Alliance Berean. Praise God for this church! I prepared for vocational ministry through Frontier School of the Bible and Shepherds Theological Seminary. 

I have been around since 2008 but joined the staff in January 2025. Between those years I married my cherished wife Courtney (2014) and the Lord has blessed us with four kids (some say we have our own youth group at home!). We also have a yellow lab who lives to play fetch. I have done some missionary work in Latin America, worked with youth & camps, and pastored Chadron Bible Church for six years before accepting God's call to ABC. My title is student & associate pastor but my subtitle is "swiss army knife." 

Six adjectives to describe me are Welcomer, Adventurer, Conscientious, Organizer, Doer, and Visionary. For fun and to be refueled I like hunting & fishing, going on long walks or hikes, gardening, and watching college football (go Skers!). The best part about my job is it allows me to spend most of my time in Christian community and preaching or teaching God's Word!

P.S. If you ask me, hotdogs are definitely NOT sandwiches and YES, pineapple DOES belong on pizza!! :)
